FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Short, honest answers about what ConCost does — and what it doesn't.

Which file formats can I upload?
PDF, PNG/JPG images, DXF, and DWG. PDF, image, and DXF drawings open straight away; DWG files are converted automatically in a background job before they appear on the canvas.
How accurate is the OCR labeling?
OCR reads the text printed on your drawing and suggests labels — it does not measure or detect elements for you. Accuracy depends on drawing quality, so every suggestion waits for you to confirm or dismiss it. Nothing is applied automatically, and your measurements are always your own, taken on a scale-calibrated canvas.
Who owns my project data?
You do. Drawings, takeoffs, BOQs, and estimates live in your account, and you can export your BOQs and estimates to PDF or Excel at any time.
What can I export?
Bills of quantities and cost estimates export as client-ready PDF files or working Excel files.
What units and currency are supported?
Measurements are metric — metres, square metres, cubic metres — and the material rate master works in Indian Rupees (INR), with Indian digit grouping in reports. ConCost is built India-first; the included demo project uses sample data from Vapi, Gujarat.
How much does it cost?
ConCost is free during the beta. Paid plans will come later, with notice before anything changes — see the Pricing page for what the free beta includes.
